Later, a 5 ton capacity tractor-drawn unit was designed and sold to fertilizer dealers. In 1968, the company was officially incorporated in Pennsylvania as C.U. Stoltzfus Mfg., Inc. with offices in Morgantown, PA. In 1976, the company introduced a new lime spreader that allowed individual farmers to buy inexpensive lime and stockpile it in their fields for spreading at a later date. The company currently offers 15 different spreader models in regular stock. Stoltzfus also custom builds spreaders for sludge, cement, bentonite, seashells, recycled wallboard, etc., which have been mounted on trailers, trucks, half-tracks, barges, flotation trucks. We also make self-powered units for pickup trucks and dozers. The company markets the Stoltzfus spreaders nationally through a network of 25 independent dealers. Spreaders have been sold worldwide, including Alaska, Hawaii, Central & South America, UK, Africa, Saudi Arabia, Indonesia and Australia. In 2009, the company was transferred to the third generation and renamed Stoltz Mfg., LLC. The company is still within the extended C.U. Stoltzfus family.
